8 Reasons Why *Everything is Awesome* at the LEGOLAND® Florida Resort

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort: Hotel Review (2015-2017)

Psalm 4:8: In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

We’re headed to the LEGOLAND® Florida Hotel this Saturday for the LEGO® NINJAGO Days and we’re just a little excited! In fact, this will be our fourth time staying overnight at the hotel there. We have visited over six times to our happiest place on Earth since our oldest was two-years old, so we’re so excited to make more memories this weekend.

Why do we keep going back to the LEGOLAND® Florida Hotel?! Read on to find our top eight reasons why we love it so very much!

Eight Reasons Why *Everything is Awesome* at the LEGOLAND® Florida Hotel

8 – You Can Build, Build, Build!

As soon as you walk into the resort, there are seemingly endless ways to build with LEGO® blocks! From helping to build blocks all the way up the wall to sitting in a sea of blocks to build while sitting, you can get creative and design whatever your little heart desires!

And the best part about Skyline Lounge Restaurant? They will bring you your food so you can keep playing while you eat!

7 – Ahem, You Could Meet a Princess

I hate to embarrass my oldest son, Landon, but on his first visit to the LEGOLAND® Florida Hotel, he met a LEGO® princess and he was quite smitten.

6 – You Can Show-off Your Impressive Dance Skills…in Your PJs!

Every evening, the staff invite your children to a PJ party where the music is blasting, the excitement is building and blocks are flowing 🙂 Landon has had two impressive years showing off his skills…we can’t wait to see what 2018’s visit holds! (it really is all in the shoulders)

5 – You Can Live Like a Knight for a Night!

The rooms at the LEGOLAND® Florida Hotel are super impressive and you truly feel like you are in character! We have spent the last few years in Pirate and Kingdom-themed rooms, but there are four themed rooms to choose from. So, put on your pirate PJs, kickback and relax!

The layout of the rooms are ideal for young families, with bunk beds in one part of the room and the parents’ bed in another. We don’t have to go to bed at 8:oopm, too!

4 – A Whole New Meaning to Elevator Music

Typical elevator music got ya down? Try out LEGOLAND®  Florida Hotel’s elevator — and I promise you won’t be let down! Boogie woogie – it’s a Disco party!

3 – Treasure Hunt!

Every time we walk into the hotel, our oldest son races to the hotel door, knowing that a treasure hunt awaits him. Solve the clues, and there could be some sweet surprises waiting for you in your room.

2 – All the Fun is Right Next Door

After a (wonderful) night sleep in the amazing hotel room and a free buffet breakfast (yes, everyone gets a free buffet breakfast at the Bricks Family Restaurant!), we’re ready for some park fun. Lucky for us, the entrance to the amusement park is literally right outside of the door.

No trams, no wait time! When Griffin was an infant, it was so easy and super accessible to be able to run back into the hotel for a quick nap.

1 – Some of Our Best Friends are at the Hotel

Our boys are admittedly not much into characters, but what we love about the hotel is that limitedly some LEGO®  character stop by and there’s no pressure to visit with them. If your kids are into them, they can run up and give them a big hug! If not, there is so many other activities around them that they can be easily distracted to play with something else.

We’re coming for you this weekend, LEGOLAND®  Florida Hotel! We can’t wait to spend some quality time with our family and continue to build our hearts out of LEGO® !

Trek Difficulty Level: (1): LEGOLAND®  Florida Hotel is close to three hours from Nocatee, FL; the drive is a bit long, but it is oh so worth it!

Trek Budget: $400; we typically spend about $400 for our family per a two-day, one overnight visit to the hotel; this includes the hotel accommodations, food (breakfast is free!) and any other hotel purchases; tickets to the park are sold separately, but you can get some amazing deals on Annual Passes, including an annual BOGO sale that we scoop up each year.

3 Trek Must-Dos:

  • FL residents: be sure to get the Awesome Pass if you aren’t annual ticketholders! You can also find great park entry deals at Costco.
  • Parents, grab a cocktail – the hotel has a wonderfully staffed bar that will make you a delicious drink. The kids are usually so distracted with brick-playing that it becomes a vacation for everyone!
  • Watch for a Kids Stay & Play special – you can save a ton of money that way!

Landon’s Trek Tip: “Don’t forget to bring your pajamas for some serious dancing!” – Landon, 5
