A Fundraiser for the Foster Family of BVSA Honduras, (2019)
After visiting Travesia, Honduras with my husband this December, we looked at our old neighbors (the Fosters) who used to do life in our little community and we couldn’t have been more proud of them!
The Fosters, with two young sons of their own, left their comfortable community in Nocatee, FL for a life on mission in the small town of Travesia, Honduras to run a soccer academy there. More importantly, they are sharing about their faith and trust in Jesus with these young boys of Honduras and planting so many wonderful seeds for growth in the Travesia community.
While the Fosters do have a wish list of needs for 2019, one stood out to us while visiting: a van. They currently own two pick-up trucks that will make-do until they find a more reliable means of transportation for these young Rhino (soccer players) at their Academy.
They have plans to grow the Academy this year and to allow more Rhinos the opportunity to play soccer with them, get a shower in their facility and eat a warm meal with them in the evenings. However, none of these goals can be achieved without reliable transportation in 2019.
A Fundraiser in Partnership with The Collector Inn, St. Augustine, FL:
One of Logan and I’s favorite places to visit locally is historic St. Augustine, FL. And when it wasn’t possible to sneak away to a foreign country last spring for some alone time, we scored an overnight stay at The Collector Inn for a local staycation.
We are thrilled to be partnering with The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens to give away one free overnight in 2019! All funds raised in increments of $20 entries will be given directly to the Fosters’ New Year, New Van goal.
